Tijani assumes duty as Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy

After President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has returned to work.


President Tinubu swore in 45 new ministers on Monday, including Tijani.

Tijani asked the leaders of the agencies under the ministry to get going right away in a conversation with them.


He promised to develop regulations that would revolutionize the sector.

He claimed that by working effectively with important players in the sector, he would build on the successes the ministry had so far.

Prof. Isa Pantami was succeeded as Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy by Tijani.

National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Galaxy Backbone, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), and Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited are among the agencies under the ministry
