Arrest MC Oluomo before calling for reconciliation – Atiku tackles Tinubu

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for president in 2023, has rejected Bola Tinubu’s appeal for reconciliation.
Atiku urged Tinubu to detain and charge Musiliu Akinsanya, commonly known as MC Oluomo, the former head of the Lagos State NURTW, for allegedly threatening Igbos during the governorship race.
He claimed that Tinubu’s plea for amity was tainted with deceit and hypocrisy.
After the general elections in 2023, Tinubu had pleaded with the opposition to provide time for reconciliation.
According to Tinubu, individuals who were impacted by the violence should put aside their disagreements for the good of the country and its unity.
Phrank Shaibu, his media assistant, spoke on his behalf.
He recalled the anti-Igbo rants made by MC Oluomo and a few of Tinubu’s media aides during the recently concluded elections.
Part of Shaibu’s statement reads: “Tinubu’s most recent statement is filled with lies and dishonesty. Traditional leaders, transport thugs, and politicians in his side threatened non-indigenous people for an entire month, but Tinubu remained silent.
“MC Oluomo, his lackey and a member of his presidential campaign council, was caught on camera threatening individuals of Igbo descent, but Tinubu said nothing.
“There won’t be any peace until MC Oluomo and all of his goons who participated in threatening and abusing people are rigorously prosecuted,”
