On Sunday, Chief Olusegun Osoba, a former governor of Ogun State, claimed that Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, and Peter Obi, the LP’s presidential candidate, were trying to destabilize Nigeria by rejecting the results of the 2023 presidential election.

Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), clearly won the presidential election, according to Osoba, who made the revelation in an interview he gave on Journalist Hangout, a program on Television Continental (TVC). He also emphasized that the election was one of the most peaceful ever held in Nigeria.

He continued, saying that Nigerians are wiser and would not allow themselves to be provoked or incited into setting the nation on fire, and he urged the disgruntled candidates to provide specific evidence rather than just assertions.

In response to a query regarding Atiku Obi’s rejection of the results of the presidential election in 2023, Osoba stated, “It is an attempt to pull us back and create disorder within the system. They all have the election results signed by their representatives across the nation, and they are fully aware of what transpired. It disappoints me that they are now claiming victory in the election because, as you can see, Nigerians have grown wiser and nobody will be deceived or pushed into turning this nation against them.

“With all due respect, I must remark that the 2023 elections were the least violent ones we’ve ever had. And despite everything they are producing… Making comparisons with past elections is inaccurate and concerns with loading fictitious figures are eliminated with the BVAS. Despite the fact that the BVAS was not loaded (with results) in time, this election had the largest turnout and was relatively transparent.

The results have been counted and signed at the polling unit, collated at the ward level, and local government level, and signed by all agents before being sent to the house of representatives collation centers and senatorial centers, as well as the state levels where the presidential results were collated and signed. I can assure you that by the time you read this, all six levels have been completely accurate and transparent. He clarified.

Analyze the findings using scientific methods, I have been involved in elections since 1959, and the electoral spread for Asiwaju is the largest I have ever seen. This candidate defied all expectations. He made an impact in Plateau and won in the middle belts—the hotspot for the religious issue. He also won in the states of Benue, Kogi, Kwara, and Niger.

“Atiku is publicly expressing his discontent… Atiku defeated Asiwaju in the caliphate (Sokoto) by a margin of roughly 3000 votes. I was born in Oshogbo, and Atiku won in Osun. Does this mean he was also rigged in Osun? It defied my expectations that he would win in my home state. The constant talk of winning I consider Obi’s performance; he triumphed in Nasarawa, Lagos, and Delta, and you are now inquiring about the outcomes. I believe that this election has demonstrated the importance of the mandate and the unity between southern and northern Nigeria. a man who can win 25% and scored 80%, and you’re claiming he cheated the system Atiku and Obi should come out with specific information not just random information.
