BREAKING: Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq wins re-election
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the winner of Kwara State governorship poll.
Governor Abdulrahmon was returned elected after polling the highest number of votes in the keenly-contested poll conducted on Saturday, 18th March, 2023. He won in of the local governments councils of the State.
In the election contested by political parties, INEC Returning Officer, Prof, Isaac Itodo declared that the APC candidate, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq secured 273,424of the total votes, more votes than his closest rival Yaman Shuaib of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), who got votes 155,490.
