Elections: NRC to suspend train services

Train operations would not be running from Saturday through Monday, according to the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).
NRC spokesperson Yakubu Mahmood made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.
Mahmood claimed that steps are being made to ensure that Nigerians cast ballots in the next presidential and national assembly elections on February 25.
Affected train routes include those between Abuja and Kaduna, Warri and Itakpe, Lagos and Ibadan, and the Iddo, Lagos-Ijoko interstate mass transit service.
Yakubu also said that regular rail service would return on February 28, according to NAN.
