According to reports, a mother’s two-month-old child (name withheld) was taken from her during a school graduation ceremony in Ilrin, the capital of Kwara State.

The suspect was described as a tall, fair-skinned woman wearing a purple Ankara and a black headscarf.

She approached me about two weeks ago to ask for help learning how to make snacks. She identifies as a Christian. I accepted her, but I have no idea who her family is, where she lives, or even her phone number.

She offered to assist me in carrying the infant when I followed the older brother who was graduating to pick up his diploma as we attended the ceremony together.

“We last saw her doing that. The mother continued, “We have reported the case to the Surulere, Ilorin, ‘B’ Division Police station, but we have not heard from them.

The incidence was reported to one of the stations, according to SP Ajayi Okasanmi, the state’s police spokesman.
