The Federal Polytechnic Nekede administration in Imo says it has started looking into the identify of a female student who boasted about graduating on TikTok.

The female student, who has not yet been named, boasted on TikTok that she only graduated thanks to God and her privates.

The polytechnic criticized the video and said it was blasphemous and contrary that the student peddled the name of God in her “deleterious behavior,” according to a statement released by the polytechnic’s registrar, Eucharia Anuna, on Monday.

“Management finds the student’s behavior to be wholly absurd and unacceptable. The Federal Polytechnic Nekede takes pride in being a school with strong moral and intellectual standards. According to the polytechnic’s statement, both staff and students are well aware of the implications of any misbehavior.

“In an unprecedented measure, administration had opened hot lines through the various disciplinary committees, through which students can report any act of exploitation or corruption,” it was noted.

The institution’s rector, a member of the clergy, has been “dedicated and constant in instilling discipline in our pupils through seminars, solemn assemblies,” sensitization outreaches, and publications,” the statement claims.

“When our investigations are complete, we’ll release our conclusions and statements to the public. Our responsibility is to make sure that only pupils who have been deemed deserving of certification in terms of study and character. We will continually be resolute in our commitment to this.
