Nigeria is a poor country – Soludo
Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo praised President Bola Tinubu for having the guts to abolish fuel subsidies.
The withdrawal of the subsidy, according to Soludo, who addressed on Tuesday at the 9th (7th Quadrennial) Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Anambra State wing, is imperative.
According to Soludo, the removal might restructure the country’s economy.
It’s past time for the nation to start living within its means and accept the fact that it is a poor one, he said.
There was a need to start living and showing the people that Nigeria is a poor country, starting with those in authority.
Everyone, not just civil servants, was impacted by the loss of subsidies in reality. The current administration’s strategy to mitigate the effects was comprehensive and included both short- and long-term actions.
Soludo declared that his administration would continue to provide citizens with affordable, high-quality education while also hiring more instructors.
