Saliu Mustapha pledges to prioritize education sector while donating N10 million to Darul Ulum

Mallam Saliu Mustapha, the Turaki of Ilorin and Senator for the Kwara Central Senatorial District, has pledged to encourage Islamic education and give priority to investments in the education sector.

This was said by Senator Saliu Mustapha on Saturday during the Darul Ulum Alumni Association Isale Koto’s book launch and award presentation.

Among those in attendance at the 60th anniversary celebration of Darul Ulum Arabic Institute held at Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin were the registrar of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Issaq Oloyede, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Egbewole, Baloguns, and Islamic scholars.

The senator emphasized the value of western education while also urging parents to provide their children with a top-notch religious education, particularly in Islam.

at addition, he urged youngsters to reorient themselves and urged students at Islamic schools to incorporate well-taught Islamic principles into their everyday lives.

He voiced his unhappiness at the increasing threat of street thuggery in Ilorin, a city that takes pride in its Islamic minority.

Mustapha, the head of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, promised to collaborate with school administration to implement additional interventions and gave N10 million for the book’s launch.
