Nigerian Traveller Dies Mid-air During International Flight

On Monday, the Jinnah International Airport’s airport medical staff announced that a Nigerian passenger named only Abdullah had passed away mid-flight.

According to reports, Abdullah was pronounced deceased when his IndiGo flight from Doha made an emergency landing at Karachi International Airport.

The Nigerian passenger on board flight 6E-1736 began to feel unwell, his condition quickly deteriorated, and he passed away mid-flight, according to reports from the BBC. The pilot then requested permission to make an emergency landing.

The traveler, a 60-year-old Nigerian national, has been named.

IndiGo responded by making plans to move the other passengers aboard in a statement.

We are extremely saddened by the news, and we are sending our thoughts and prayers to his family and close friends. In conjunction with the appropriate authorities, we are presently making plans to transfer the remaining flight passengers, according to the statement.

Unnamed officials claimed that the plane stayed at Karachi Airport for about five hours.

After the Karachi authorities produced a death certificate for the deceased passenger, it made its way back to Delhi.
