Zulum dedicates 300 dwellings for IDPs in Borno
In Uba/Askira Local Council, the governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, officially opened 300 dwellings for internally displaced people (IDPs) from border areas with Cameroun.
Between 2015 and 2017, Boko Haram militants forced the affected people out of their homes in the Rumirgo neighborhood.
According to the governor, the action is a part of a 10,000-house plan to help the state relocate displaced residents.
Zulum revealed that the militants burnt many people’s homes and public infrastructure, particularly in the education and health sectors, when commissioning the project yesterday in Rumirgo town. Additionally, he pledged to repair damaged electrical lines.
