I have been successful before dabbling into politics’ – Wike

On January 3rd, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike shared how he first began making a successful living before entering politics.
On Tuesday, retired senator John Azuta-Mbata received a visit from Wike to wish him a happy birthday at his country residence in Eneka Town in the state’s Obio-Akpor Local Government Area.
According to PM News, the Governor gave appreciation to the former Rivers East Senator for giving him the chance to earn money before entering politics.
Wike noted that he began making a decent living while drafting estate property documents for the former senator as his legal representative.
Wike identified the backers of his first political post. He added that the Senator had supported him in getting his first elected office as the head of the Obi-Akpor Local Government.
The Governor added that Senator Azuta-support Mbata’s had a positive impact on his leadership and the state’s general well-being.
“We thought you were someone who backed the government and us.”
Therefore, we think it’s important to come today and identify with you as one of those who has contributed positively to the existence and growth of the State.
After that, Senator Azuta-Mbata supported him when he was given the chance to lead the Obio Akpor Local Government Area, and in spite of the significant obstacles, he was elected council chairman in 1999.
Even though Senator Azuta-Mbata is no longer actively involved in politics, the governor highlighted that he has remained a crucial asset for the State.
